Quirky / Fun / Retro / Nostalgic - Look no further than these Retro Passport Invitations if you're after something a little bit different for your big day or other travel themed event.
Initially Sara and Jeff were looking for some Luggage Tags to use as Save the Dates for their wedding in Calpe, Spain. Luckily they already had a design in mind and had a little help from someone they knew. I just needed to customise the design slightly to fit in with the Luggage Tag design and the finished result looked great.
Incorporating an image of the famous Penon de Ifach (or Calpe Rock) as well as a colourful coral background the finishing touch was a tiny plane in magenta which went really well with their burnt orange text.
The overall backgound was a vintage/parchment paper and this was also incorporated into the design of their Passport Invitation.
Sara and Jeff had planned such a fun weekend of activities around their big day that they knew they would need to opt for a Passport design with more pages. I designed an 8 sided Passport for them which also had a tear off RSVP section.
Page 2 (Page 1 being the cover) included a gorgeous vintage photo of their venue Venta la Chata along with some wording about why the area means so much to them (it's where Jeff proposed in 2009).
As usual, the official passport information is positioned on Page 3 of the design. Jeff and Sara had a great picture of the two of them which I included in black and white to match the vintage feel of the design. Information such as the date/time of the wedding, venue as well as further information you might want to share with your guests usually goes on this page. In this case Sara and Jeff had created their own wedding website so chose to include the address on this page.
If you haven't thought of a wedding website before click here for some helpful information about them.
Information about their wedding destination, the weekend's itinerary, travel info and details of their travel dates all filled the remaining pages. There was space to add some gorgeous photos of the area as well as a stylised map outlining the Alicante/Calpe region.
I hope you agree that the end result was fun, packed with info and above all a design which incorporated both their personalities. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sara and Jeff and if you're looking for Retro Passport Invitations or any other style of wedding stationery please don't hesitate to get in touch.
